Bring your family and friends and enjoy a fun day at one of our beautiful state parks!
No entry fee at Deep Creek Lake State Park on June 21st!
Free to use during the event are, on a first come/first serve basis, take advantage of:
- Free Paddlecrafting: Canoes and Kayaks
- Free Bicycles
- Recreation Gear for Volleyball, Spikeball, and Other Outdoor Games Will be Available During the Rec Fair.
Pickleball demonstrations and free yoga classes will also be offered at 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 a.m.
Don’t miss the opportunity to check out all of the vendors showcasing their recreational opportunities!
If it’s a hot, sunny day, remember to pack your swimsuit and towel for a dip in the water and a relaxing day on the sandy beach!
This event is spearheaded by the Garrett County Health Department in partnership with the Department of Natural Resources.
Ride Details
Guided Ride at 1pm with Deep Creek Adventure Bureau
Red Trail Teal Group Ride at Deep Creek Lake State Park
Ride Level: Teal (Intermediate-ish)
Join us for a free group ride on the Red Trail at Deep Creek Lake State Park!
We’ll kick things off by reviewing some basic mountain biking skills before heading onto the trail. Expect a little bit of everything: some rocks, a few uphills, and plenty of fun.
This is a “teal” ride — perfect if you’re comfortable on a bike but don’t feel like an expert on the trails (yet).
If you’re ready for a bit of a challenge but still want a supportive, no-pressure group, this is your ride.
Important:
- Not recommended for your very first ride ever
- You don’t need to be fast or fancy — just willing to roll with a few rocks and earn some smiles on the downhills!
- Bring your bike, helmet, and water.
